When families join Water Babies, they're getting something that's increasingly rare: the resources and expertise of a global leader in child swimming, combined with the personal attention of a local family business.
My wife and I brought Water Babies to Illinois because we believed local families deserved access to a swim program built around children, not just swimming. Today, we're proud to be one of the first Water Babies schools in the United States and the only location in Illinois.

Founded in the United Kingdom more than 25 years ago, Water Babies has grown into the world's largest baby and child swim school. But what drew us to the program wasn't its size. It was the philosophy behind it.
The Water Babies curriculum is built on child development research and designed around how children learn at different ages and stages. Every instructor completes extensive specialist training, giving them the tools to support children with different personalities, abilities, and learning styles.

That training allows us to do something we believe is incredibly important: meet every child where they are.
Some swimmers jump right in. Others need a little more time. Some thrive on repetition. Others learn best through play and exploration. We take the time to get to know each child and family so we can tailor the experience to their individual needs and help them progress with confidence.

Our lessons take place in warm, quiet pools with small class sizes, creating an environment where children can feel comfortable, supported, and successful. Along the way, families often discover something unexpected: a welcoming community of parents, children, and instructors who genuinely care about one another's progress.
Of course, swimming is about learning an important life skill. But it's also about celebrating milestones, creating memories, and enjoying the journey together.

We're honored to be a part of that journey for so many local families and would love to welcome yours to the pool. Visit https://www.waterbabiesusa.com/swimming-lessons/mid-south-chicago-il/ to learn more or book a class.
