Hi everyone! We're Water Babies, a family-owned swim school serving babies, toddlers, and young children throughout the western suburbs. My wife and I brought Water Babies to Illinois because we believed local families deserved access to a swim program built specifically around child development, confidence building, and long-term water safety. Unlike traditional swim instruction that often focuses primarily on techniques and repetition, the Water Babies curriculum is designed around how children learn best at different stages of development.
Founded in the UK more than 25 years ago, Water Babies has grown into the largest baby and child swim school in the world, teaching hundreds of thousands of children and setting the standard for early-years swimming. We are proud to be one of the first Water Babies schools in the United States and currently the only location in Illinois. Every instructor completes extensive specialized training through Water Babies, and our teaching approach is tailored to each child and family. Whether your child is experiencing the water for the very first time, needs a little extra confidence, or is ready to build stronger swimming skills, we meet them where they are and help them progress at their own pace. We teach in warm, quiet pools with small class sizes, creating an environment where children can feel comfortable, supported, and successful. Many of our families tell us they appreciate not only the progress their children make in the water but also the friendships and sense of community they find in class.
As a fun bonus, we also offer professional underwater photography sessions a few times each year, giving families the opportunity to capture incredible underwater portraits and celebrate their child's swimming journey. We'd love to welcome your family to the pool!
