šæ Outside under the stars, catch up on the best kids' movies this Summer! It's is the perfect time to let the kids run around and get their energy out before relaxing out on a blanket to catch up on all the movies you may have missed throughout the year (or years past!) Luckily for you, many parks have special Summer movie series that make it easy for you to cross "see a movie" off your Summer bucket list. We have compiled all the kids summer movies happening throughout the summer months in East DuPage County -- Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Lombard, La Grange, and the surrounding suburbs, organized by date & movie title, so it's easy to find one that you know your kids will enjoy, or one that they haven't seen yet so you can spend less time searching on the internet and more time enjoying the summer with your kids!
Most movies begin at dusk - but check local websites and social media for weather and start time updates.
šāļø Pro-tip: Don't forget to bring your movie snacks, blanket, bug spray, and lawn chairs!
šāļø Mom Tip: Go over expectations, meeting spots, and whether they're allowed to play at the park if there's a playground at the location - it can get dangerous to run around in the dark and accidentally trip over a tree root or park edging.
š Super-Mom Tip: Bring a deck of cards for when they get bored while waiting for the movie to start, glow necklaces for after-dark fun, & a trash bag to keep the park clean.
Have fun!
